Editorial
Editorial Standards
These standards apply to everything published on AZ Crash Data. They are designed to keep our reporting accurate, transparent, and useful.
Sources must be official and verifiable
Content on this site is based on official and publicly available sources. Every factual claim is tied to a named source — typically a published Arizona state report, a federal dataset, or another public document that a reader can locate and review independently.
How we treat sources
We quote or paraphrase sources faithfully and link to them whenever a public URL is available. We do not alter numbers, dates, or definitions to make a story stronger. If a source is incomplete, unclear, or contradictory, we say so.
No invented information
We do not publish fabricated statistics, invented examples, fake quotes, or unverifiable claims. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out.
Corrections policy
Errors are corrected promptly and transparently. If we discover a factual mistake after publication, we update the report and note what was changed and when. Readers who spot an error can report it through our contact form.
General information, not professional advice
Everything on this site is general information. It is not legal advice, not medical advice, and not a substitute for speaking with a licensed professional about a specific situation. Reading this site does not create an attorney-client or provider-patient relationship.
Independence and disclosure
AZ Crash Data is independently operated. Where any affiliation could affect how a topic is covered, we disclose it on the page. For ownership and disclosure details, see ownership and disclosures.
